The Central Government has a scheme under the Agmark Net project of the Directorate of Marketing and Inspection (DMI), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, and the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board, Pune, to provide a computer set (modem, printer, UPS) and internet free of charge to the market committee. This scheme is being implemented under the guidance of NIC, New Delhi. Their main objective is to computerize important market committees in India and to exchange information on market prices and arrivals at the national level. Accordingly, the committee has received a computer set free of charge through a letter from the Marketing Board. As per the said letter, it is necessary to submit daily reports.
