The sub-market at Selu was declared as per the notification dated April 17, 1982. The Selu grain market occupies 1.40 hectares, and the adjacent cotton and cattle market yard occupies 3.79 hectares of land, both operating on land owned by the Selu sub-market. Farmers there have been provided with the benefit of a collateral loan scheme. Furthermore, under the Central Rural Warehouse Scheme, a warehouse with a capacity of 250 metric tons has been constructed with government grant assistance. The facility includes a warehouse-cum-office, auction shed, toilets, electrification, and a drinking water system.
Minor defects observed during the audit period, which were rectifiable, have been corrected in a timely manner. Those defects that could not be rectified immediately have been detailed in Parts 'A', 'B', and 'C' of this audit report.
